Zeno-Watch Basel, an independent Swiss watchmaker since 1868, was struggling with a dated and poorly optimized digital presence. The brand needed a complete editorial overhaul to bridge the gap between its rich historical heritage and the expectations of modern consumers. The goal was to transform a functional e-commerce site into an immersive, high-conversion brand experience.
What I delivered
Brand Identity & Messaging: Created the new global baseline "Timeless Pieces" to encapsulate the brand’s enduring value and Swiss DNA.
Premium Tone of Voice: Developed an elevated brand voice, positioned at the intersection of heritage and modern luxury, to significantly enhance perceived value while remaining accessible to a broad audience.
Technical Copywriting & Education: Balanced technical authority with accessibility by translating complex horological specifications (e.g., Unitas movements, NOS calibers) into engaging benefits that resonate with both seasoned collectors and first-time buyers.
Full Site Rewrite: Overhauled the entire information architecture and copy for the homepage, navigation, and core landing pages to ensure a seamless user experience.
Narrative Storytelling: Replaced the generic "About Us" with a compelling "Our Story" page, shifting the focus from corporate facts to a legacy-driven narrative.
Conversion-Centric UX Writing: Rewrote all collection categories (Pilot, Bauhaus, Vintage, etc.) and product sheets, blending emotional storytelling with precision-driven microcopy.
Localization: Managed the full French translation of the site to maintain tone-of-voice consistency across markets (release pending).
Revenue Growth: +43% increase in e-commerce turnover immediately following the September 2024 relaunch, followed by a sustained growth of 10% to 20% through March 2025.
User Engagement: Drastic reduction in bounce rate, falling from 58% to 22%.
Conversion Optimization: -34% decrease in abandoned carts thanks to clearer, more reassuring product descriptions and a streamlined checkout journey.
